White Chocolate Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tbsp white chocolate chip Check the "Helpful Tips"
  • 1-2 tsp pure matcha powder
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 2 cups milk Check the "Helpful Tips"

Instructions

  1. Chop the white chocolate into small pieces for easy melting.


  2. Sift the matcha powder into a bowl and add hot water. The temperature of the hot water should be around 70-80℃ (158-176℉). Whisk well until smooth (use a Chasen if you have one).


  3. Stir the chopped white chocolate into the matcha mixture.

  4. Heat the milk and add it to the matcha. For a café-like experience, steam the milk using a steamer/frother if available.

  5. Garnish with extra chopped white chocolate or a dusting of matcha powder.


Helpful Tips

The preference of the strength of the matcha flavor will be different from person to person. Please adjust to your liking. As a dairy-free option, I would suggest coconut milk.
