Sift the matcha powder and add hot water. Don’t use boiling water. The temperature of the hot water should be around 70-80℃ (158-176℉). Whisk them well to dissolve the matcha powder. Strain to remove the lumps.
Heat the milk and pour into the matcha. Add vanilla extract as you prefer.
Add maple syrup or sugar as you prefer.
Use 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 cup of unsweetened plant-based milk (my favorite is almond milk) instead of 2 cups of milk.
